CSO CLINIQUE: IN COOPERATION WITH GENDER AND WOMEN’S STUDIES RESEARCH CENTER AT KADİR HAS UNIVERSITY: GENDER AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION - 15 NOVEMBER 2018
CSO Clinique, conducted by Kadir Has University’s Center for International Relations and European Studies (CIES), continues with ‘Gender and Conflict Resolutiion’ training program. The program held on 15 November, 2018 in cooperation with Gender and Women’s Studies Research Center at Kadir Has University.
In the first part of the training, Kadir Has University Gender and Women's Studies Center researchers Bahar Aldanmaz, gave a lecture on concepts and theories of Gender. She analyzed and discessed the results of Perceptions on Gender and Women Survey results in Turkey. In the second part of the training, Sabancı University Faculty Member Prof.Dr. Dr. Ayse Betul Celik conducted a workshop covering the concept of conflict, the role of gender in identity-based conflicts, communication, working, conflict resolution styles.
CSO Clinique aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of CSO workers, volunteers, master and PhD students, and encourages the participation of these groups. Sustainable Development-II will be the 14th CSO Clinique. Trainings will be held at Kadir Has University, Research Centers Building.
What is CSO Clinique?
The CSO Clinique, which was established within the scope of 'Striving for Good Governance: Civil Society Strengthening and Youth Empowerment’’ by the Center for International and European Studies(CIES), organizes trainings to support civil society activities twice a month. The day-long trainings aim to support civil society organizations in their adaptation process to the rapidly changing world. In this context, the CSO Clinique aims to empower young people who are committed to civil society, to strengthen their skills and knowledge, and to participate more effectively in decision-making processes. Trainings topics focus on current developments both in our country and around the world and on the areas in which CSOs play an active role.
Trainings organized within the scope of ’Striving for Good Governance: Empowering Civil Society and Youth, create a platform for dialogue for participants and instructors. CSO Clinique programs offer an opportunity to meet with experienced instructors and to take inspiration from their knowledge and vision.
