Sub-Programs in Which Higher Education Institutions Can Participate

1. Partnerships for Cooperation

Cooperation Partnerships in the field of higher education enable the establishment of strategic cooperation and partnerships between institutions/organizations operating in Programme Member countries in order to produce and implement innovations in the field of higher education. The target audience of Strategic Partnership projects consists of higher education students, academic and administrative staff, professionals, educators, employees in the field of higher education. The project duration must be at least 12 months and at most 36 months.

2. Small-scale Partnerships

Small-scale Partnerships are designed to expand access to the program for small-scale actors and individuals who are difficult to reach in the fields of school education, adult education, vocational education and training, youth and sports. Compared to Collaborative Partnerships, they have lower grant amounts, short durations, and simple administrative requirements for institutions. This action aims to reach grassroots organizations, less experienced institutions, newcomers to the program, and smaller institutions with less institutional capacity by reducing entry barriers. It will also support flexible formats;

* First, by mixing activities with national characters despite having an international and European dimension,

* Second, by allowing institutions to have more opportunities to reach young people with fewer opportunities.

3. Jean Monnet Actions in Higher Education

Jean Monnet activities aim to improve research and teaching in European Union studies worldwide. They are projects that can be prepared to ensure that university students and young professionals are informed about European Union issues and to strengthen the dialogue between the academic community and policy makers.

The target audience of Jean Monnet projects is higher education institutions that have academics/researchers specialized in European Union issues and want to increase their teaching and research capacity on European Union issues.

Higher education institutions located in any country in the world can apply for Modules, Chairs, Centers of Excellence and Policy Debate. Higher education institutions located in program countries must have an ECHE (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education). There is no partnership structure in the Jean Monnet Modules, Chairs and Centers of Excellence activity types, and the applicant institution/organization carries out the activity. There is a partnership structure in the Policy Debate activity.
