Kadir Has University provides affordable, safe, and accessible housing opportunities for its students within and around its centrally located Cibali Campus on the shores of the Golden Horn. Situated in one of Istanbul’s most convenient neighborhoods, the University ensures that all students—particularly those arriving from outside Istanbul—can access accommodation options that combine comfort, affordability, and proximity to academic facilities.
In the 2024–2025 academic year, the University began operating its own female dormitory, a 69-bed facility fully owned by Kadir Has University. The dormitory offers three types of rooms—accessible, double, and triple occupancy—all designed to provide a homelike atmosphere. Each room includes a private shower and toilet, wardrobe, mini refrigerator, study desk with bunk bed, and high-speed internet connection. Students may study in their rooms or in the shared study hall located on the lower floor, which also features a common lounge, fully equipped kitchen, and laundry and ironing rooms available at no cost. The building is cleaned regularly by professional staff, and its design prioritizes comfort, safety, and accessibility.
The dormitory is located immediately behind the Cibali Campus, allowing female students to live within walking distance of their classes and campus services. The University also provides Housing Scholarships (Barınma Bursu) and White Dove Scholarships (Beyaz Güvercin Bursu) that fully cover accommodation costs for eligible students throughout the academic year. Male students benefiting from these scholarships are accommodated under a formal protocol with Trabzon Higher Education Male Student Dormitory, where all housing expenses are covered by the University.
In previous years (2023–2024), the University provided student housing through contracted private dormitories under formal agreements, ensuring affordability and quality control during the period when the University’s own residence hall was under construction.
In addition to the University-owned dormitory, KHAS students have access to a wide range of private and Ministry of Youth and Sports-operated dormitories located near the campus, all of which offer discounted and accessible housing options. Among these are reputable institutions such as Konforist, Sabiha Hanım, Boğaziçi, Yakamoz, Studio Santral, and Turkuaz Higher Education Dormitories. These facilities comply with national accessibility standards and give priority to students with disabilities. Together, they create an extensive and flexible accommodation ecosystem that meets the diverse needs and financial situations of KHAS students.
The University also maintains a dedicated Dormitory Office, available at [email protected], which provides information and guidance to all students seeking accommodation support. Through this structure, Kadir Has University continues to expand its commitment to affordable housing as part of its inclusive and student-centered approach to higher education.
In all dormitories around our university, operated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, arrangements have been made in accordance with the standards and needs of students with disabilities. Students with disabilities are given priority in dormitories. You can review the contact information of some of the dormitories operated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and where our students stay, from the links below:
We also have agreements with external dormitories. You can find the list below.

KYK
In addition to its own university dormitories, Kadir Has University students can also benefit from accommodation opportunities provided by the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK), operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye. Applications for KYK housing are typically received each year in September, allowing students to apply for affordable on-campus and off-campus housing options across the city.
Established in 1961, KYK functions as a public organization with its own administrative and financial structure, offering safe and low-cost accommodation to higher education students in need of financial support throughout Türkiye. As one of the universities collaborating with KYK, Kadir Has University enables its students to access these state-supported facilities, ensuring a wider range of budget-friendly housing alternatives.
As of 2024, there are 20 KYK dormitories located in Istanbul, seven of which are allocated for female students. Monthly housing fees vary between 345 and 570 Turkish Lira, inclusive of breakfast and essential student services.
