Established in the 2003–2004 academic year, Kadir Has University Faculty of Law graduated its first class in 2006–2007. The Faculty is committed to educating highly qualified legal professionals with a strong foundation in the principles of law, justice, and international standards of human rights. Its academic program combines a rigorous legal education with the expertise of a distinguished faculty whose members are recognized for their contributions to their respective fields.
The Faculty aims to cultivate open-minded, inquisitive, and critically engaged lawyers who are firmly committed to democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. Its curriculum provides students with a comprehensive understanding of both domestic and international law while encouraging them to approach legal questions in their broader social, political, and economic contexts. Graduates are equipped with a strong foundation in legal theory and practice, as well as the analytical reasoning and interpretive skills necessary to understand, apply, and critically assess the law.
The Faculty also offers students a wide range of academic opportunities beyond the classroom through its extensive domestic and international networks. Through the Erasmus+ Program, students can participate in exchange programs with partner universities across Europe. The Faculty further supports student involvement in research projects, academic visits, international conferences, panels, and other scholarly activities, encouraging them to become active participants in both national and international academic communities.
The language of instruction is Turkish for compulsory courses focusing on Turkish law, while courses addressing foreign and international legal systems are offered in English.
