TÜBİTAK Support for Department of Psychology’s Project on Gender Ideologies and Parenting

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project coordinated by Assist. Prof. Gamze Turunç Bayrakdar from the Department of Psychology and entitled “Gender Ideologies and Parenting: Women’s Empowerment, Psychological Processes, and Relational Dynamics” has been funded by TUBİTAK 3501 – Career Development Program.

The project aims to examine the effects of gender ideologies on mothers’ and fathers’ parenting behaviors in Türkiye, with a focus on the psychological and relational processes underlying these relationships. Through two studies, the project will investigate the links between gender ideologies, psychological well-being, women’s empowerment, couple relationships, and parenting behaviors using advanced statistical modeling approaches. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of evidence-based family policies and parenting programs.

We congratulate our faculty member on this achievement and wish her continued success.
