KHAS Lighting Workshop’ 24: “Exploring Light”

The event, which is organized every year with the students of the Faculty of Art and Design in order to explain the importance of Lighting Design and raise awareness on this subject, was held this year under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Banu Manav, Secretary General of the Turkish National Committee on Lighting and Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, Mustafa Akkaya, founder of Line Lighting Design, Kürşad Ayanlar from Waxy Design Studio and Turgut Çırpanlı, Lecturer at the Department of Industrial Design. A workshop on lighting design was held with Interior Architecture and Industrial Design students at Kadir Has University Faculty of Art and Design starting in December with 3 different meetings and studies. In line with the theoretical and technical information given to the participants by Line Lighting design company and Waxy Design studio, the groups produced prototypes of their concept designs by touching different materials and production techniques within the framework of 3 different meetings and made presentations.

The products created by our students are exhibited at KHAS D BLOK Campus and also published digitally on our FADPORT (https://fadport.khas.edu.tr/) page.
