What is Wrong with Exploitation? Contractualist Ethics and a New Theory of Exploitation

16 September 2024

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project coordinated by Asst. Prof. Hüseyin Sungur Kuyumcuoğlu from the Core Program and entitled “What is Wrong with Exploitation? Contractualist Ethics and a New Theory of Exploitation” has been funded by TUBİTAK 3501 – National Young Researchers Career Development Program.

In this project, the concept of exploitation will be defined for the first time within the framework of contractualism, as outlined in detail in T.M. Scanlon’s book What we owe to each other (Scanlon 1998), and the problems specific to the concept of exploitation that have been mentioned in the literature will be examined for the first time with the new framework.

We congratulate our faculty member for his achievement and wish for the continuation of his success.
