Dr. John Hollwitz of Fordham University visited Kadir Has University

Between the 22nd and 25th of July, Professor Dr. John Hollwitz of Fordham University came to Kadir Has University to give a lecture titled “Managing the Transnational Firm,” which comprised part of the Kadir Has University and Fordham University joint MBA program. Before joining Fordham University, Professor Hollwitz served as the dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Loyola College. Dr. Hollwitz also served as the founding head of the Department of Communications at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in addition to holding the F. Jacobson Communications Professorship in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

Professor Hollwitz completed his first doctorate in the field of Speech in 1980 at Northwestern University, and his second in 1998 at the University of Nebraska in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. At the undergraduate, graduate and executive levels, Professor Hollwitz has taught courses on the management of multinational firms, negotiation techniques, team efficiency, organizational behavior, career development and communications, in addition to courses on foundational and advanced statistics as well as research methodologies. Professor Hollwitz has extensive experience with issues pertaining to accelerated team performance in both public and private institutions.

Professor Hollwitz’s research interests include research methodologies and management development, as well as sustainable and comparative advantage, monitoring of labor ethics and consumer evaluations. He has been awarded a number of honors, including the A.F. Jacobson Chair in Communications (Creighton University) and The Lyman Porter Academic Management Teacher of the Year in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Creighton University for academic excellence.
