The Center for International and European Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University and the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey (CSR Turkey) are happy to announce the launch a new initiative in the form of a discussion series under the general heading of “Civil Society in EU-Turkey Relations”.
The partners plan to hold at least five panel discussions, over the course of the 2017/2018 Academic Year, on different themes such as the Role of Entrepreneurs; the Role of NGOs; the Role of Business; the Role of the Media; and the Role of Academia where experts will debate how civil society across the aforementioned sectors has and can play a role in maintaining the relevance of relations between Turkey and the European Union.
The idea is to explore how, beneath the veneer of stalled or problematic political ties between the two sides, the web of ties and exchanges at civil society level have sustained and keep nourishing the relationship by focusing on the potential for joint action.
Schedule of Panel Discussions.
18 October 2017 The Role of Entrepreneurs
February 2018 The Role of NGOs
March 2018 The Role of Business
April 2018 The Role of the Media
May 2018 The Role of Academia
