Khas Has Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with New York Institute of Technology

On January 18, 2013,  Kadir Has University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), a top tier university in the US.

Founded in 1955, NYIT is a  a non-profit, independent, private institution with 14,000 NYIT students and 89,000 alumni. NYIT is known as the pioneer of the “Global University’’ concept.

Other than the campuses in Manhattan and Long Island, NYIT has 6 other worldwide campuses: in Jordan, Bahrain, China, Brasil, Taiwan and Canada.

At the signing ceremony that took place at Kadir Has University, Prof. Mustafa Aydın, the Rector of Kadir Has University and Prof. Rahmat Shoureshi, the Provost of NYIT, emphasized the importance of international research and education.

Within the context of the agreement, faculty and students of both universities will take advantage of exchange programs and participate in joint research and other scholarly activities.

The collaboration between KHAS and NYIT will most importantly be marked by dual-degree programs, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
