Kadir Has University Hosts Students from People’s Republic of China

Under the auspices of an international agreement signed between Kadir Has University and Zhejiang Gongshang University, twenty Chinese students came Kadir Has, in addition to academic staff. As part of the exchange, twenty Khas students went to China to pursue their studies at Zhejiang Gongshang.

Zhejiang Gongshang University was established in Hangzhou, China in 1911 and it currently has 31,000 students and 2,000 academic and administrative personnel.

The aim of the exchange program, which will coincide with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Turkey, is to improve friendly relations between the two countries through the medium of education. In recent years, the political, economic and commercial ties between the two countries have become increasingly close-knit, resulting in greater exchange in the areas of culture, media, education and tourism.

Through the exchange agreement signed between Kadir Has University and Zhejiang Gongshang University, exchange programs take place every year in July and September. For students attending the short-term summer school, seminars are organized on the subjects of economics, politics and culture, and students are given the opportunity to learn more about their mutual cultures during organized tours.
