The project “Communication Profiles based on Verbal and Nonverbal Cues in Natural Conversation of Romantic Couples and Longitudinal Outcomes of the Profiles on Relationship Variables,” coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Harma from the Department of Psychology, has been funded by TÜBİTAK 1002 Program.

This project aimes to determine the communication styles of the couples in daily conversations (natural conversations) by using multiple indicators (such as verbal and nonverbal communication clues) and to empirically examine the changes in the relationship-based variables (eg, satisfaction) of the couples in these different profiles over time.

We congratulate our faculty member for this achievement and wish him success. We also would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Aslı Çarkoğlu, Asst. Prof. Aslı Erciyes, Asst. Prof. Ahu Gökçe, and Asst. Prof. Berna Uzundağ for their valuable contributions during the panels.
