New Instructors for KHAS School of Foreign Languages

Kadir Has University School of Foreign Languages strengthens its academic staff with new instructors. We are delighted and proud to introduce our new colleagues.

Bedi Cananoğlu, Instructor

Bedi Cananoğlu received his B.A. in English Language and Literature at Boğaziçi University in 2010, his M.A. in Educational Technology at Boğaziçi University in 2019. He worked as an English Instructor at Bilgi University between 2013 and 2020. His main research topics include learning sciences, designing virtual learning environments, and integrating recent technological advancements into curricula.

Damla Kaya, Instructor  

Damla Kaya received her bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies at Marmara University in 2010, and her master’s degree in English Language Teaching program at Çukurova University in 2019. Working as an English language lecturer since 2015, she also received CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) offered by Cambridge University in 2017. While her article, published with her being the first writer on an international journal in 2019, is about using alternative assessment to engage preservice language teachers in the higher education context, her thesis focuses on the concerns of English language teachers’, both preservice teachers and instructors. Her primary fields of study include a variety of approaches to language teaching at tertiary level.

N. İlkyaz Koşar Tural, Instructor

N. İlkyaz Koşar Tural graduated from Yeditepe University, English Language Teaching Department and Advertising Design and Communication minor program. Following her graduation, she started teaching English at secondary and high school levels. Meanwhile, she started her master’s degree in English Language Education. In her master’s thesis, she intended to display whether the EFL instructors’ gender affects the preparatory school students’ motivation or not. She worked for 4,5 years at Bilgi University, where she started working as a lecturer during her graduate education.
