Our Academics on the ‘World’s Most Influential Scientists’ List

The results of the 2023 ‘World’s Most Influential Scientists List’ prepared by researchers from Stanford University have been announced, and six academics from our university made it to the list.

The ‘World’s Most Influential Scientists List’ is compiled by Stanford University researchers based on international criteria such as total citation count, number of patents, h-index, hm-index, number of articles, and the number of qualified publications, using data from the SCOPUS database. The study covers 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields.

Six academics from Kadir Has University were included in the list

In the “Career-long Impact” category of the list, which features over 200,000 scientists worldwide, the following academics from Kadir Has University were recognized:

• Emeritus Prof. Dr. Erdal Panayırcı from our Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
• Emeritus Prof. Dr. M. Önder Pekcan from our Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics,
• Prof. Dr. Metin Kozak, Dean of our Faculty of Communication, and
• Prof. Dr. Volkan Ediger from our Department of Industrial Engineering.

In the “Annual Impact” category of the research, the following academics were recognized:

• Prof. Dr. Metin Kozak, Dean of our Faculty of Communication,
• Prof. Dr. Volkan Ediger from our Department of Industrial Engineering,
• Dr. Ömer Faruk Görçün from our Department of Business Administration, and
• Postdoctoral Researcher Seyed Sajad Ahmad Pour from our Department of Computer Engineering.
