Volkswagen Foundation Fund Support for Sibel Karadağ’s Project

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project “Doctors on the move: Transnational Research into Healthcare Migration (TREATMi),” prepared in collaboration with Humboldt University (the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research – BIM) and Kadir Has University, has been awarded funding by the Volkswagen Foundation, Novo Nordisk Foundation, and Wellcome. The project will be coordinated by Dr. Sibel Karadağ from the Department of Political Science and International Relations.

As part of the project, İzmir University of Economics will also be involved as a partner organization.

The research project, which has been awarded funding for the first phase, will conduct a 48,800 Euro study over seven months. As of March 2025, it will be eligible to transition to the second phase, which is expected to last 3-5 years and is valued at 1.5 million euros.
