Dr. Hüseyin S. Kuyumcuoğlu Joined KHAS Core Program as a Visiting Academic Member

Kadir Has University Core Program (Department of Core Academics) strengthens its academic staff with new scholars. We are delighted and proud to introduce our new colleague, Dr. Hüseyin S. Kuyumcuoğlu.

Hüseyin S. Kuyumcuoğlu completed his MA degree at the Department of Philosophy at Boğaziçi University after receiving his BSc in Computer Engineering at the same university. He completed his PhD at the Binghamton University, State University of New York with his dissertation entitled “Sweatshops: A Normative Analysis.”

His competence in philosophy includes applied ethics, normative ethics, political philosophy, and logic. He has experience working in private companies as a computer engineer beside his published academic work in philosophy. He is also the co-founder of “the Society for Practical Philosophy, Turkey”, where young philosophers produce academic work together.
