The CIES is coordinating a summer course on “Turkey and its Environs” for undergraduate and graduate students in the disciplines of International Relations, European Studies, Political Science and Turkish Studies. This course is offered jointly by Kadir Has University and Coventry University.
The 4th International Neighbourhood Symposium were held at Heybeliada between 24-29 June 2014. This year's Symposium focused on "Exploring the Challenges of Political and Social Change in the Eastern Neighbourhood and the Mediterranean South".
The CIES is pleased to present its three new non-resident research associates for 2014-2016. The three will be affiliated in various aspects of the Center’s work during this period as the CIES seeks to expand its areas of expertise and knowhow to meet the challenges of our rapidly changing world.

A new CIES Commentary titled “Ukraine: The revolution of minds?" has just been published. It is written by Hanna Shelest, Senior Researcher at the National Institute for Strategic Studies in Ukraine.
A new Policy Brief titled The Syrian Crisis: A Challenge to the Black Sea Stability by Igor Delanoë has been published.
The Center for International and European Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University has become a partner to the “KNOW - Knowing Opportunities of the World” project to be implemented principally by the European Center of Studies and Initiatives (CESIE) in Palermo, Italy.

CIES Director Dimitrios Triantaphyllou and Associate Professor Kostas Ifantis of Kadir Has University and the University of Athens have recently been awarded a grant for their collaborative research project on Greek-Turkish relations.
