The call for applications for the 5th International Neighbourhood Symposium that the CIES will hold at Heybeliada, Turkey between 23 - 28 June 2015, is now open. This year’s Symposium will focus on “Leadership and Change in the Eastern Neighbourhood and the Mediterranean South”.

The CIES has launched a 10-month long project on “Promoting Civic Engagement and Good Governance through dialogue between Turkey and Iran.” The second meeting will be held at Kadir Has University's Cibali campus.
A new Policy Brief titled Azerbaycan-Gürcistan-Türkiye: Bölgesel İşbirliğinin Başarı Örneği (Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey: An Example of Successful Regional Cooperation) by Prof. Dr. Mitat Çelikpala and Dr. Cavid Veliyev has been published.

The CIES, in cooperation with the GMF has established a Task Force to provide policy outputs and recommendations for an EU strategy for the Black Sea Region. The third meeting was held at the European Policy Centre's Brussels office.

CIES Director Dimitrios Triantaphyllou and Associate Professor Kostas Ifantis (Kadir Has University and the University of Athens) have recently concluded a collaborative research project on Greek-Turkish relations.
The CIES is pleased to present its three new non-resident research associates for 2014-2016. The three will be affiliated in various aspects of the Center’s work during this period as the CIES seeks to expand its areas of expertise and knowhow to meet the challenges of our rapidly changing world.
