Asst. Prof. Anıl Ufuk Batmaz Joined KHAS Mechatronics Engineering Department
13 June 2021Anıl Ufuk Batmaz received his BS and MSc degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at TOBB University of Economics and Technology in 2011 and 2013. After two years of experience as a software team leader in a private company, he was awarded IdEx (Initiatives d’Excellence) scholarship by the French government to work on his PhD at the University of Strasbourg, France 2015.
Upon completing his PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2018, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada) until June 2021. He served as a program chair in conferences such as ACM VRST and ACM SUI and international committee member in various organizations, including ACM CHI and IEEE VR. His research interests are Human-Computer Interaction, Virtual and Augmented Reality, 3D User Interfaces, Training Systems and Simulators, and Digital Twins.
