Nuri Has – Deputy Chairman
Nuri Has was born in 1972 in Istanbul.
He attended İlhami Ahmet Örnekal Primary School in Istanbul, and went on to graduate from the Kalamış Private High School. At Georgetown University and the American University in Washington D.C. he studied English and management, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Management at Kadir Has University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
He launched his professional career in 1994 at the Has Automotive Sales and Manufacturing Corporation, and in 2003 was appointed to the position of general directorate. In 2007 he was promoted to the board of directors.
In 1996, Nuri Has began working at the Kadir Has Foundation, which was founded in 1992, and after serving as the executive assistant and as an executive, he was appointed to the board of trustees in 1999. At present, he continues to serve as the president of the foundation.
In 2004 Nuri Has was appointed to T.C. Kadir Has University’s board of trustees, and in April of 2007 he was promoted to the position of chair of the board of trustees, where he has served for four years. As of July 1st, 2011, he continues to chair the board of trustees at the Kadir Has Foundation and to serve as the deputy chair of the board of trustees at Kadir Has University.
Nuri Has speaks English, and he is married and the father of one child.
