Double Major Guide

Students who wish to undertake a double major in Public Relations and Information are required to complete 48 credit hours of coursework in addition to their own department coursework. The required courses are indicated in four groups in the curriculum below. The first group is Requisite Faculty Courses, the second is Requisite Departmant Courses, the third is Applied Electives, and the fourth group is Theoretical Electives. Students are required to take all of the courses in groups 1 and 2, as well as 9 credits from both groups 3 and 4.

Applicants for a double major from the Faculty of Communication are exempt from the requisite courses indicated in group 1. Additionally, the courses for all double major students are open to evaluation, and if they are found to be eligible, these courses may be transferred upon the approval of the student’s double major coordinator. Students may take elective courses other than those in groups 3 and 4 upon the approval of their coordinator.

Minor Degrees Guide

Students who wish to undertake a minor degree in Public Relations and Information are required to complete 18 credit hours of coursework in addition to their own department coursework. The required courses are indicated in two groups in the curriculum below. The first of these groups is Public Relations Management, and the second is Public Relations Applications. Students must take 2 requisite courses and 4 electives from the group they choose. Students may take elective courses other than those in groups 3 and 4 upon the approval of their coordinator.
