Kadir Has University Proficiency Exam Rules:

- The written portion of the exam (listening, reading, writing) will start at 09:30 and finish at 12:25.

- The speaking portion of the exam will start at 13:30 and it will be recorded.

- The number on your chair, on the exam paper and on the student lists on classroom doors should be the same.

- Show your university ID card with your picture to the instructor.

- You cannot leave the classroom during the exam. Please, make sure you have everything you need and you do not need to go to the toilet before the exam starts.

- The exam includes four sections; listening, reading, writing and speaking.

- The exam starts with the listening section.

- You will have 2 minutes to go over the outline sheets distributed. Then you will listen to a lecture played once. While listening to the lecture, you have to take notes on the outline sheets. After the lecture is over, question sheets will be distributed. You will be given 15 minutes to answer the questions according to your notes. When time is up, both the question and outline sheets will be collected.

- After the listening section is over, both the reading and writing parts will be distributed.

- The suggested time to spendon each part is written on the exam paper.

- Write your names and surnames on the Reading and Listening papers. Write only your student number on the Writing paper. Make sure you do not write your names on the Writing papers. Papers not following these rules will not be graded. Outline of the Listening section is not a part of the grading, so you do not need to write your names on the outline.

- Every student is individually responsible for their exam paper.

- Talking or asking questions during the exam is forbidden. All necessary instructions are already available on the exam papers.

- Exchanging erasers or pencils during the exam is forbidden. You should not wear a scarf or a hat that covers your face.

- You should not have your cellphones with you during the exam. If you have a cellphone, turn it off and leave it on the teacher’s desk. You can take your cellphone back after you submit your exam to the instructor. If you do not follow the cellphone rule, your exam will be voided.

- Late comers will not be allowed to take the exam until the listening section finishes (for the first 35 minutes.)

- After the first 35 minutes you can submit your exam and leave the exam room.

- You cannot leave the last 15 minutes of the exam.

- The exams of the students who attempt to cheat in the exam will be voided.

- Students must follow the rules read by the instructor. The exams of the students who do not follow the rules or listen to the warnings of the instructor will be voided.

- Students must submit all the sections of the exam with the instructors’ supervision and sign the signature list when leaving the exam room. The exams of the students who do not sign the signature list will be voided.

- All the students who were not successful in that academic year are eligible to take the proficiency exam in September.
