Teoman has worked in some of the best universities and schools in Turkey and Britain teaching English, Academic English, Academic Writing and Creative Writing for nearly 20 years . He is also an experienced editor, translator and redactor, and an examiner for Cambridge University ESOL writing and speaking exams. Teoman completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Warwick, and received his RSA CELTA from Anglia College, Cambridge and Diploma in Online and Distance Education from the Open University, UK. He has also taken courses in Instructional Design at the University of Delaware, USA and Digital Film and Documentary Production at NYU, USA. He is currently studying at the Institute of Educational Technology, Open University, UK for an MA in Online and Distance Education.
N. Buket Cengiz completed her PhD, in the field of literary and cultural studies, at Leiden University in the Netherlands. She received her BA from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Letters, and her MA in American Culture and Literature from Kadir Has University. She has published columns and articles in various international and national journals including The Middle East (UK), Jazz Journal (UK), Film International (SE), Senses of Cinema (AU), Moving Arts Film Journal (USA), Virgül and Panorama Khas. Her translations from English and Russian of works by such writers as Edward Said and John Berger and poets such as Konstantin Simonov and Yevgeny Yevtushenko have been published in a variety of journals and newspapers, as well as her articles in refereed journals of Istanbul University and Marmara University. Buket published articles on culture for Radikal İki, the Sunday supplement of the newspaper Radikal, from 2003 until its closure in 2014. She has worked for Kadir Has University’s American Culture and Literature Department as well as the university’s English Language Unit. Since the fall semester of the 2010-2011 academic year, she is a full-time tutor at the Writing Center and conducts research in the sphere of literary and cultural studies.
