2017 International Neighbourhood Symposium

The Center for International and European Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University held the 7th International Neighbourhood Symposium (INS) in the lively and historic Black Sea town of Odessa between Tuesday, 13 June and Sunday, 18 June 2017. New Book Published

A new book entitled “Turkish immigration, art and narratives of home in France” recently been published from Manchester University Press. It is written by Annedith Schneider, a CIES Research Associate.  The book looks at music, theater, and literature by artisits of Turkish immigrant origin in France from a cultural approach to understanding how immigrants become part of their new country.
