CSO CLINIQUE: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT II IN COOPERATION WITH UNDP IRH (ISTANBUL REGIONAL HUB) 1 NOVEMBER 2018

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT- II TRAINING APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN

CSO Clinique, conducted by Kadir Has University’s Center for International Relations and European Studies (CIES), continued with Sustainable Development-II training program. The program held on 1 November, 2018 in cooperation with UNDP IRH(İstanbul Regional Hub)The working language of the training was English.

After introductory lectures and workshops on the Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the first training program in April, the second training focused on practical and technical areas. Interaction of SDGs with each other, and their implementation tools supported by case studies with cross-sector perspective. The training included lectures and case studies by UNDP IRH experts, CIES Energy and Climate Specialist Özgür Gürbüz, representatives of Yereliz Association, and SDSN Turkey.

CSO Clinique aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of CSO workers,  volunteers, master and PhD students, and encourages the participation of these groups. Sustainable Development-II will be the 14th CSO Clinique. Trainings will be held at Kadir Has University, Research Centers Building.

What is CSO Clinique?

The CSO Clinique, which was established within the scope of 'Striving for Good Governance: Civil Society Strengthening and Youth Empowerment’’ by the Center for International and European Studies(CIES), organizes trainings to support civil society activities twice a month. The day-long trainings aim to support civil society organizations in their adaptation process to the rapidly changing world. In this context, the CSO Clinique aims to empower young people who are committed to civil society, to strengthen their skills and knowledge, and to participate more effectively in decision-making processes. Trainings topics focus on current developments both in our country and around the world and on the areas in which CSOs play an active role.

Trainings organized within the scope of ’Striving for Good Governance: Empowering Civil Society and Youth, create a platform for dialogue for participants and instructors. CSO Clinique programs offer an opportunity to meet with experienced instructors and to take inspiration from their knowledge and vision.
