Hard Talk: Change in the Black Sea Security Architecture? - 21 September 2018
The Center for European and International Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University and UA: Ukraine Analytica are organizing an international conference Hard Talk: Change in the Black Sea Security Architecture? It will take place at Kadir Has University’s Galata Hall in Istanbul on Friday, 21 September 2018 between 10:00 and 14:00 .
The 2014 annexation of Crimea by Russia and subsequent events have brought about significant changes to the regional security order. While much attention is paid to the Eastern Flank of NATO and the EU, less attention is paid to the Black Sea region – a region which has always been one of conflicts and cooperation at the same time.
During the sessions, experts from the region will discuss changes in the Black Sea security order, the potential for new forms of cooperation, and what role NATO can play in the region. The detail preliminary program below.
The conference is organized with the financial support of The Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation of the German Marshall Fund and the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Ukraine.
